Fluid ounces and ounces are two system of measurements used in different parts of the world. One of the major differences between the two is that both are used to measure different kinds of materials. Fluid ounce is used to give accurate measurement of the volume of different kinds of fluids. On the other hand, ounce is used mostly to measure or to determine the weight of an object.

Although, fluid ounce is the measurement of volume, however, it cannot be used to determine the weight. The only way to get the ounce of a fluid using its fluid ounce value is by determining the density of the fluid.

Ounce is used mostly to determine the weight of dry substances. It has been researched that one Pound is equivalent to 16 ounces. To get the same value for fluid ounce i.e.16 fluid ounces, you will need to equate it to one pint.
