The difference between quartz and diamonds is that diamonds are much harder than quartz. The chemical formula for a diamond is C, and it is made up of carbons, while quartz possesses the composition of silicon dioxide. The diamond has a bright sparkly color, or it is a clear whitish color. The whitish shade of a diamond can cultivate a wide array of colors, such as orange, brown, or yellow.

However, there are some rare types of diamonds found in blue, purple, green, or deep red. Quartz, on the other hand, occurs in a variety of colors such as white, brown, purple, and a rainbow color with an assortment of gorgeous hues. Quartz also has a white streak. The crystal form of a diamond could be cubic or round, while quartz forms in fascinating crystal formations.
