Growth could be a physical change, but it could also mean that you are growing, or you could think of it the way our technology expands, it means you are "upgrading" as a person. Development, on the other hand, is said to be physical as well as a social or psychological change. Growth is correlated to quantitative improvement; development is related to qualitative improvement.

When the term growth is related to human beings, it indicates a noticeable increase in weight, height, and bone size. On the other hand, development is the process of acquiring skills and capacities, and it could also mean transformation.
