The DVI connector is known to have the ability to send a digital and an analog signal, which means that it will be more versatile as compared to the DVI D, which can only be used for an analog device alone. Take note that the DVI can be very useful because it can be used both for HDMI and VGA.

You know that this can be used with the help of the right adapters. Knowing the differences between the various cables will help you decide which type of cable you want and need. Take note that there are still some differences with the bandwidth and so much more.
