A dye is known to be a coloring agent. This can be used for different purposes. This has been used to color people’s hair, and this has also been used as a coloring agent for textiles and so much more. A stain, on the other hand, is known to be the more purified version of the typical dye.

This can be used when there is a need to look at some lab work. Stains are colored pigments, and they will have the tendency to stick more when you place them in various items. For example, you use a stain instead of a dye when you are coloring wood. You can expect the stain to last for a good, long while.
