One of the main differences between a debit and an ATM card is its appearance. They may look similar to each other, but actually, they have some differences. First of all, the debit card will come with a logo of Visa or Mastercard. This will signify that the card can be used, especially when paying for some items in the grocery.

When you use the debit card, the money will be removed from your checking account. When you are using your ATM card, you can use it to withdraw money from the ATM machine. Take note that both ATM and debit cards can be used to withdraw money from the ATM, but the ATM card cannot be used to pay for your various transactions in the grocery or in other stores.
