VGA stands for Video Graphics Array. RGB is merely red, green. Blue. RGB is a color model that combines the three primary colors to come up with an entirely new color from the entire spectrum. VGA is mostly used to bridge displays to their source. RGB has a vast array of uses. It is also utilized in lighting photography, and software editing and processing computer images.

The input devices RGA utilizes integrated color TV and video cameras, digital cameras, and image scanners. The output devices it uses include computer and mobile phone displays, video projectors, and large screens such as jumbotrons and color printers. VGA was developed by IBM to produce a standard interface that would result in another color. VGA is an old standard that has been succeeded by many other measures that are superior in several aspects.
