A forest is well known to be an area with thick bush; while a jungle is considered as part of a forest, or a kind of forest. A jungle is usually considered as a land area with tangled and overgrown trees, vines, and shrubs, which is most likely not penetrable. A jungle is foliage that needs to be cut down for humans to pass through, as it is almost impossible to traverse due to thick and closely packed vegetations.

A forest is a woodland that is covered with underbrush and trees. Forest covers a higher percentage of the landmass than the jungle. Forest also has lighter vegetation compared to the jungle. Forest allows the penetration of sunlight through its canopy than the jungle.

The different types of the forest include rainforest, coniferous, temperate, Mediterranean, and of which jungle is also a kind. You can find animals such as possums, deer, squirrel, bears, and rabbits in the forests; while you will find animals like monkeys, crocodiles, and snakes in the jungle.
