Jim Beam and Jack Daniels have a little bit of similarity in their taste. Jim Beam is bourbon, which is of whiskey type, while Jack Daniels is basically a whiskey; it is a sour mash. Their method of production is similar, but then, Jim Beam is a Kentucky Bourbon, while the Jack Daniels, on the other hand, is Tennessee liquor, which undergoes filtration of charcoal.

Based on the cost, Jim Beam is cheaper than Jack Daniels, Jim Beam costs 27 dollars on the average at a typical area bar, and this represents about half of the price of most of the black label whiskey. Jim Beam is sold at a lower price in states where they can be bought in supermarkets.

Jim Beam has more alcoholic and fruity taste, while Jack Daniels tastes smoother and less alcoholic. Jim Beam is usually bottled at the proof 86 while Jack Daniels is actually bottled at the proof 80.
