As far as engines go, two-stroke and four strokes are classifications given to the internal combustion engines of an automobile. The difference is that in the two-stroke engine, there is only one upward and one downward stroke, giving a sum of two movements in one cycle of the engine. In a four-stroke engine, there are the upward and downward strokes, which offer four movements to complete one cycle of the engine.

In a four-stroke engine, the spark transpires within the cylinder, and the cylinder already holds the burnt gases. The spark plugs in a two-stroke engine last longer than those in a few stroke engine. Four-stroke engines usually last longer than two-stroke engines. The two-stroke engine is more straightforward and less expensive because they have a simplistic construction.
