Agora and Forum are linked to Greece and Roman cities, and both Agora and Forum refer to a public place where there is a crowd of people. They are used in contexts in these different ancient empires. Agora is only used for commercial purposes, and Agora is a marketplace where makeshift shops stand. The place is generally situated in the middle of the city. It is typically close to public buildings.

Forum, in the Roman towns, serves a combination of political and religious agendas. Forum is surrounded by the ruins of numerous essential government buildings in the middle of the city. The forum is not used for commercial purposes. Most of the relevant offices are located in the Forum.
