Hope entails the feeling of being unsure of a particular outcome yet operating in such a fashion that allows you to believe everything is going to be okay. Hope is based on the idea of faith; however, hope and faith are two different things. Hope is an ideology rooted in fear of something we cannot see, hear, or feel.

Faith, on the other hand, is based on the notion that whatever the outcome may be, it is for the better or the 'greater good.' Faith is an idea that is more spiritually based then hope because it assumes that there is a greater force at work that is beyond our control.

While faith is acclimated to religious doctrine, hope is an idea that is based on the unwavering belief that there is something for which to wish. Hope is a destination, not an actuality, while faith is a religious and prevailing concept.
