A neuron is a brain cell that has and transmits information by chemical and electrical signaling. It is a part of the nervous system and is made up of a cell body, axon, and dendrites. Upper motor neurons begin in the motor area of the brain stem. They are not accountable for the stimulation of the muscle that is affected, as they do not carry information down to the final pathway.

They work through a called glutamate, which is identified by receptors. On the other hand, lower motor nerves refer to a nerve that communicates with the muscles to cultivate movement. They are a crucial part of the nervous system. Lower motor nerves obtain signals from the upper motor neurons and are linked by the spinal cord and brain stem to muscle fibers. They are cranial and spinal nerves. These nerves are how the brain functions properly.
