Fish tanks are usually made with materials like glass and acrylic. There are noticeable differences between the two types of fish tanks. First, glassfish tanks seem to be more popular than acrylic fish tank due to the fact that so many people have been using the fish tank for a very long time, plus it has a better look compared to an acrylic fish tank.

Although acrylic fish tanks are softer and flexible than glass fish tanks, the former is a bit stronger than the latter. Glass fish tanks break easily, especially with a little impact on it, while fish tanks made of acrylic do not break that fast. Another thing that can be used to differentiate the two is by considering their weight.

Fish tanks made of glass weigh more compared to the actual weight of acrylic fish tanks, and this is the more reason why you can easily handle acrylic fish tanks. Another advantage that acrylic fish tanks have over glass fish tanks is that the former does not leak very easily like the latter.
