A hardcover book comes with a hardcover that will be made out of thick material. It can be different from one book to another. Most of the hardcover books will be made out of hard cardboard. As expected, this type of book is going to be heavier compared to a softcover book.

From the name itself, you can already guess that a softcover will have a softer cover and will also be easier to bring. Softcover books may also vary in size. There are some that are big while there are also some that are small. You can tell if the book that you are holding is a hardcover book or a softcover book if you can bend the cover. If you can, this means that you have a softcover.
