Correlation is known to be the relationship between two things. These things will be used to define the needed information. There are times when two things are not related to each other at all. When there is a relationship between the items, this is when causation may come in.

When there is causation, this means that there are cause and effect. This time, the effect of something may have caused another cause and effect. Take note that correlation can be positive or negative. It is a positive correlation when the variables increase when they are related to each other. A negative correlation means that one of the variables will increase while the other set will decrease.
