Amazon was founded on July 5, 1994, by Jeff Bezos, while the target was founded on June 4, 1904, by George Dayton. Amazon was actually founded in Seattle, Washington, while the target was founded in the United States of America, Minnesota, to be precise. In Amazon, their scope of services and products include electronics, jewelry, food, apparel, furniture, software, and many more. While in target, their scope of products includes lawn and garden, toys and games, clothing and accessories, pet supplies, beauty and health products, bedding, jewelry, food, furniture, and many more.

The subsidiaries in Amazon are AbeBooks, Amazon logistics, Goodreads, Wholefood market, Amazon air, Body labs, Graphiq, and Zappos. Considering the subsidiaries in targets, they are target sourcing services, retail, and financial services. Amazon usually has more revenue compared to the target. Amazon specializes in being an e-commerce platform, while target opposes online platform, but chooses departmental stores.
