Medicare and Medicaid are both run by the government to provide a form of a health insurance program for the general public. Apart from the difference that can be noticed in their spellings, there are other differences between the two. Medicare is a health insurance program that can be enjoyed by those who are 65 years old or those who are older than that. This program can also be enjoyed by anybody having a disability.

Medicaid, on the other hand, is also a health insurance program just like Medicare, but it is run by both the federal and the state governments. And that is why the scheme and the packages that come with the program is not the same throughout all the state in the United States of America.

More so, the program is intended to help those who are doing well financially. In other words, it is meant to assist those who are earning a low income.
