OT stands for Occupational Therapist while OTA stands for Occupational Therapy Assistant. An OT can practice his profession without any hitches and would not require the supervision of anyone, especially in doing certain treatments for the patients. An OTA will provide aid to the OT to ensure that things will be done according to plan. The OT is responsible for the patient and all of the treatments and services that will be provided to the patient.
This means that the treatments should be personalized in order to fit the needs of the patient better. OT and OTA will try to make sure that their patients will be able to recover from what they are going through.
