This answer is incorrect. Christopher Columbus was well dead in 1942. he died in 1506 so it is impossible for him to have made his famous voyage in 1942. This site is meant to be helping peoples education and personally I think it is pretty hard to learn about Christopher Columbus's voyage if you said that he set sail in 1942 when he set sail in 1492. You are wrong by 450 years. if he did set sail in 1942, then thats saying that he was 555 years old when he died. I think that every history teacher, text book and historian would agree with me that the information given is incorrect.
