When you say aphanitic texture, you are referring to small crystals that you will not be able to see with the naked eye. You can also try to look at it with the use of a hand lens and still not see enough. This type of rock comes with a lot of small crystals and they are very small which is why you can barely see them even when you are using different types of lenses.
The texture of this rock would come from the environment to which it is exposed. Most of the time, this will be seen in shallow subsurface environments. A lot of people find it fascinating to see that the rock is mostly made out of rocks when you find an item that you can use to view this properly.
