A certificate can sometimes be given to people who would complete a short course or training over a certain period of time. It can be years before the person gets the certificate, and there are also times when the person can get the certificate in a matter of days. There are also some who would need to get their master’s degree in order to show that they have specialized in a certain topic after they have gotten their graduate degree.
