Milk typically refers to the milk that comes from a cow. The milk is pasteurized, and you pour over your cereal in the morning or order with your afternoon latte. Many different products are created from milk, such as butter, yogurt, cheese, and ice cream, and milk has many nutrients, including calcium and protein.

On the other hand, evaporated milk is procured by evaporating almost 60 percent of the water of the fresh milk from a cow. This process is accomplished by heating the milk for longer than it takes to boil the milk. It is typically sold in cans to keep it fresh for longer without refrigeration. Evaporated milk also contains vitamins A and D.

The regular milk is the typical liquid milk, while the evaporated milk is usually some sort of powdered milk. The regular milk has about 50% of its constituent as water, while the water constituent in the milk has been removed through the evaporation process, thus the name "evaporated milk". Evaporated milk has a longer life span than regular milk. Evaporated milk can be kept in a can and still stay good for a long time; unlike regular milk that needs to probably be refrigerated to make it last longer. Also, evaporated milk is known to have a higher amount of vitamins and calories than ordinary milk. You can also easily make your evaporated milk into regular milk just by adding more amount of water into it. Evaporated is usually used more in cookies, as regular milk can make your cookie eatery. Evaporated milk is also creamier and richer in taste when compared to regular milk.

Evaporated milk is the type of milk that has already been cooked to make sure that some of the water content to evaporate. This will make the evaporated milk more caramelized, which also explains why it has more flavor as compared to regular milk.

There are some people who also say that evaporated milk may also be a combination of milk and half and half. Milk comes with a little bit of water, which is one of the reasons why it may have a bland taste. There are some people who would like to use evaporated milk instead of milk when they are using certain recipes because they feel that evaporated milk will improve the taste of the recipe.

Everybody is familiar with what milk actually means; most of us do take it on a daily basis. However, what might look so strange in this question is what evaporated milk stands for. Anyways, evaporated milk is a type of milk. It is made from real milk, but about 65 percent of its water content has been evaporated through the process called evaporation, and that's why it is called evaporated milk. There are a lot of differences between evaporated milk and regular milk.

In terms of thickness, evaporated milk is thicker than regular milk. This is understandable because before you can get your evaporated milk, a certain amount of water has been removed through evaporation. It is easy to store evaporated milk for a very long period of time compared to regular milk. In fact, regular milk preserved in a can still get spoiled if you expose it to certain conditions.
