Split ends are not bad for hair growth. Split ends do not hinder your hair to grow longer; so far, it can. It does not matter whether you have split ends or you do not, if you have no medical disorder, and your hair still can grow more, it will surely grow. However, the disadvantage of the split end is that it can prevent you, and you will not be able to retain your hair length again. When we are talking about having long hair, it is not really about how fast or how long your hair can grow.

It solely depends on the consistent and persistent growth of your hair; that is, the ability for your hair to keep on growing, either fast or slow. Nonetheless, when split ends are becoming serious, it leads to the breakage of your hair. This can most likely lead to the loss of hair: if the breakage of hair is more than the growth of hair from the scalp.
