Mylan has recently said, "the cost has changed over time to reflect better essential product features and the value the product provides. These types of medications are also expensive because it relieves more than one symptom, which may be convenient for the customer, but it too quite costly.

There are a number of reasons for their expense. One of those reasons is that there may not be a generic version available. If not, the manufacturer who is available may hike the pricing because they know they are the only one who offers it. Another reason is that a lot of time is spent researching and creating medicine, which leads to the cost of it.
