The cost to participate in the New York Marathon depends on the membership status of the participant. If the participant is a member, the price to participate will be $255. For those who aren't members, they would have to pay $295. These fees are reflective of those who live in the United States. Non-US citizens have even higher costs. They are required to pay $358.

The costs of marathons can be a deterrent for why one doesn't want to participate. Along with the costs, it is not guaranteed that everyone who applies is chosen to run. Everyone is competing for a spot, and only those who are chosen are able to participate.

The fee for the New York City marathon is $255 for members. The price gets even higher for those who are not members. Take note that only a few people are allowed to enter the race. Those who are non-members would need to pay a fee of $295. It will be even more expensive for those who do not live in the US. They will be required to pay $358.

People are supposed to shell out a huge amount of money to participate in the marathon. Do remember, though, that not everyone who wants to participate will be able to join. Only those who are chosen will be able to run. Those who are not chosen will automatically be placed for the next draw. There are still other ways that people can be chosen to enter the race.

It will depend on so many things. If you are a US citizen and you are a member, you need to pay $255. If you are a non-member, it will be more expensive at $295. If you are living outside the US and you would like to participate in the marathon, you will be expected to pay even more money at $358.

This explains why some people would rather watch the marathon because they know that it can be very expensive. Some people who do it for fun need a lot of money and also training in order to get in. Random people cannot just enter.

Some would need to run for other charities, and so much more. Some say that the price that they have to pay to enter the marathon will be worth it because of the prizes that they may get when they win.
