As the world grows older, it also becomes hotter and is being more crowded. Along with the heat and increase in population, our air is infiltrated with harmful substances and chemicals. In some places in the world, the air is so thick that it looks like fog, but instead, it is just pollution.

There have been many studies done on this subject, and research has shown that nine out of ten people breathe in air that is polluted. Breathing in this air is the cause of death of millions of people every year because those that breathe it in can suffer from diseases such as lung cancer and stroke.

The effects that air pollution can do for people’s health are very serious. There are a lot of people who may become exposed to air pollution every day, and they usually have more chances of acquiring certain types of diseases such as different types of cancers, stroke, cardiovascular diseases, and so much more.

It seems that the pollutants will be able to slip through our immune system defenses and wreak havoc to our bodies. When the immune system becomes weaker, it will not be able to fight off the possibility of getting different forms of diseases. Some of the organs that may get affected the most are the heart, brain, and lungs.

The world is becoming hotter and more crowded, as our engines continue to pump out filthy emissions, while half the world has no access to clean fuels or technologies. The air we breathe is rather polluted. Research demonstrates that nine out of ten people breathe polluted air, which kills millions of people every year.

The ramifications of air pollution are serious. Studies indicate that one-third of deaths from stroke, lung cancer, and heart disease is because of air pollution. Microscopic toxins in the air can glide past our body's natural defenses.

These pollutants infiltrate deep into our respiratory and circulatory systems, and they cause damage to our heart, lungs, and brain. The lack of visible smog is no indication that the air we breathe is healthy.
