Thanksgiving celebration in the United States is observed on the fourth Thursday of November, and it is a federal holiday that must be observed every year. Thanksgiving celebration for 2019 falls on the 28th of November, 2019. To many people, this year's Thanksgiving celebration seems very late, although the reason for this lateness is because November actually started on Friday, and this means the fourth Thursday will be very close to the end of the month. Thanksgiving celebration for 2020 will be observed on the 26th of November, 2020.

The fact that the celebration has greatly shifted from being a religious holiday to a federal holiday is the reason why most Americans don't usually celebrate the day the exact way they should. Because most people don't work on Thanksgiving Day, a lot of them celebrate Thanksgiving by eating different kinds of foods, while others see it as a time to visit and play with friends.

Thanksgiving Day is a federal holiday in the United States. It is one of the ten federal holidays in the nation. Thanksgiving is celebrated on the 4th Thursday in November. In 2019, Thanksgiving is on Thursday, 28 November 2019, and on Thursday, 26 November, in 2020.

Government offices, banks, and educational institutions are closed during Thanksgiving. Many retail stores are also closed. It is a time for families and friends to gather together to celebrate the harvest from the past year.

History has it that the first Thanksgiving celebration was celebrated in Virginia on December 4, 1619. The day was dedicated as a day of Thanksgiving to God Almighty. It became an annual holiday in 1789 when President George Washington declared it after a request from the congress.

Thanksgiving in the year 2019 will be on November 28, 2019. Thanksgiving in the year 2020 will occur on November 26, 2019. Thanksgiving for 2019 is considered to be a bit later than usual, but this is considered to happen from time to time.

There was a time when people were not aware when they are actually going to celebrate Thanksgiving. During the time of Lincoln, it was celebrated every last Thursday of November.

This became problematic after some time, so a bill was signed that it would be celebrated every 4th Thursday of November regardless of whether it is the last Thursday of November or not.
