Communication is the process of conveying message to other people. If there is any stage during communication that is broken this may be the cause of confusion, frustration, wasted effort and missed opportunities. The seven stages of communication include source, encoding, channel, decoding, and receiver.

The source refers to the sender and also the message which is the information and ideas that you want to deliver.

Encoding refers to putting your message into a format that you can send and the receiver will be able to understand and decode. Channel refer to the process used in sending the message there are different types of channels which include verbal, written etc.

Decoding is the process in which the receiver of the message understands the message sent. The receiver which brings its own ideas and feelings of understanding and their responses. The feedback is mostly given as soon as the message is delivered. Lastly, the context is the situation which you deliver your message.

If you want a sentence to be correct, it must have correct subject-verb agreement. That means that the subject must be determined if it is singular or plural. That may seem like it will be easy to do because you just need to see if there is an “s” at the end of the word, but not all plural nouns end in “s”. Also, it is difficult sometimes to determine which word is the subject. Subjects are rarely in a prepositional phrase.

Sometimes, subjects are in the last part of the sentence. If the subject is a singular noun, then the verb must be singular too. In this sentence, the subject in the sentence is form because the subject is not in the prepositional phrases and the verb must be singular since the subject is singular.

Occur

The sentence contains a main subject and is clearly missing the main verb. 1. It is not (D) because it has a subject reference. 2. It is not (C) because it has a subject reference. 3. It is not (B) because the verb form does not match the plural form of the subject. 4. It is (A).
