Both Disney + and Netflix are similar in some ways; at least both are providing streaming services for their subscribers. It is important to note that Disney + will be officially launched in November, which means Disney+ is new compared to Netflix, which has been providing streaming services for a while.

Another difference is that Disney+ subscribers will not need to spend too much compared to what Netflix subscribers are spending. A month subscription on Disney + will cost $6.99, whereas a month subscription on Netflix costs $12.99 and $15.99 for standard and premium streaming plans, respectively. I think Disney+ is providing its services at such low prices because of its plan to compete with the likes of Netflix and Hulu, and with this strategy, it is going to get a lot of subscribers. On the other hand, Netflix has more movies and series in its catalog compared to Disney. Disney + is planning to start its first year by releasing 7500 episodes of TV series to its subscribers, whereas Netflix has about 47,000 episodes of both past and current TV series.

Disney + and Netflix have very little in common. The Disney + package includes Hulu and ESPN +, all for the same price as Netflix's most popular plan. Also, Disney's streaming service targets a different audience. Disney + zeros in on major franchises with family allure, such as Star Wars and Marvel franchises. Disney's package deal also includes Hulu for a more mature audience and ESPN + for sports fanatics.

Offering kids shows and entertainment, Netflix has more program variety; however, it does not present any sports-related content. It also boasts family movies and cartoons. Netflix has also brought in TV creators, such as Shonda Rhimes, who is responsible for "Scandal," and the show "How to get away with murder," for multi-year deals. Netflix is also more expensive.
