Do we really need 5G as the 4G connection is not even available to the masses yet?

I think it is important to know that the fifth-generation wireless mobile network is not designed to render the 4G useless or obsolete. The 4G still works pretty fast in some parts of the world. In fact, the 4G network is going to stay longer even when the 5G network is launched across the world. Technology companies are actively working on 5G, which is the next generation of wireless mobile networks in order to increase internet speed and connection so that your internet experience will happen at a very faster rate.

The coming of 5G wireless mobile network will also increase the speed of 4G. 5G is currently being used in some places in the United States of America, e.g., Chicago. In April, Verizon became the first technology company to launch the fifth-generation wireless network. As much as different companies are working on creating the fifth-generation wireless network, the 4G will still be available for people to use.

Speeds on 3G are relatively limited when you compare them to the content that is currently available. While 4G can technically attain speeds of up to 100 Mbps, the truth is that most of us encounter data speeds below 50 Mbps or less. In some areas, the 4G networks are so immature that they are hardly an incremental increase from 3G when it involves stable data speeds. 5G could change that.

5G is not a defined standard, but rather a set of ideas. Even though only eight countries in the world have over 80% 4G infiltration, it is not unusual within the industry. Distribution takes time, and it requires significant private investment. Also, 5G could have latency as low as 1ms, which would be a considerable achievement for devices.

There are a lot of people who are feeling unsure as to why 5G is needed right now when 4G is not available to everyone yet. 4G is known to be strong, but the use of 4G can be very energy-consuming. 4G also has the tendency to be all over the place when it is trying to provide an internet connection to those who are connecting to the network.

The more people who are connected to 4G, the more that the whole network will weaken which means that there will be more people who will get affected by it. This is something that can be fixed by 5G, although this will probably take some time before it can become available to the rest of the world.
