Plastic and glass are known to be different from each other but they are both used as containers. Glass is considered to be more brittle and most people will consider this to be more exquisite as compared to plastic. Glass is also known to be a more sustainable material especially when compared to plastic which explains why people may choose this more.

When glass needs to be recycled, it will be turned to glass but perhaps the type of object that they will create will already be different from usual. For plastic, it can also be recycled but there may be changes with the items that they will become in the long run. For instance, plastic bottles can be made into yoga mats.
