The government refers to the body with the power to make and enforce laws that control a country, area, people, or an organization. Government is determined by the population. In a country that practices democracy, the people that determine how the government is operated are elected into position by-election. The government manages the services offered to the general population. Service offered to the people is not for the purpose of profit-making.

The services are financed by tax paid by the people. Business is a specific commercial enterprise or establishment set aside for the purpose of profit-making. Businesses generate profit by offering goods and services to their target market. Businesses work by managing the needs of a smaller group of people, but the government manages the interest of the entire nation. The mode of operations, conduct, and activities of a business are determined by owners and shareholders of the establishment. I hope you find this information helpful.

A government is different from a business, although people may not realize this yet. A government is known to be an entity that can help represent and also govern some people in society. It can be a whole town, an entire city, or even a whole country. Their goal is to come up with rules and regulations that will help improve society as a whole.

A business is a corporation that is better associated with trade, selling, and purchasing. People who start their own business would like to know more about what people want so that the business can thrive. When a business is not able to make sales, it will not manage to grow.

A government is a group of collective powers which exists to govern and represent a society or a country and all its avenues collectively. Governments strive to satisfy the needs of all it's members to provide a sense of well-being and national identity to a country or people. The term is directly identified with power and ruling, bureaucracy, politics, and the system to govern a specific society or people. Government is often associated with the state.

Governments also take profit from taxes imposed upon diligent workers, businesses, and other entities. On the other hand, business is often associated with trade, occupation, commerce, and transactions which involve the profit-making of a person or industry. A business makes profits by selling goods and services and making use of a market as it's intended receivers.
