Knowledge and wisdom may seem like the same thing but these are actually different from each other. Knowledge means being aware of things. You know the different things that you are experiencing because you have already experienced some situations or you have learned about those things from other people. Wisdom is having the ability to discern if people are actually true or not.
There are some things that may seem true at first glance but only those who have true wisdom will b able to see beyond what is being shown. Having wisdom means thinking about things in a deeper manner as compared to others. People who have wisdom will also be able to see how different things are connected to each other.
Many times people confuse knowledge with wisdom, but those are two different things. Knowledge is usually acquired through learning at school or work. When you go to school and learn math, English, social studies, or science, you are getting knowledge about those subjects and the skills that go along with them. Wisdom, on the other hand, is usually something that you are born with.
Only certain people have strong wisdom in them. If you know, you can generally answer academic questions, but if you have wisdom, then you can usually advise people about something or help people figure things out. It depends on what you are trying to achieve to determine if having wisdom or knowledge is better.
