The falcon is a species of the raptor birds that belongs to the Genus Falco. These birds are so wild and hunt for prey to feed on them. They are known to possess long wings and strong beaks by which they crawl on the prey and tear the flesh with their long beaks. Falcons have tapered and thin wings by which, when they fully get matured, they fly with very high speed and can alter direction easily. The peregrine falcon is known to be the fastest bird and creature on earth with a speed of 322km/hr. Some other kinds of falcon are the Merlin, gyrfalcon, lanner, and hobbies that possess long and narrow wings, but they have a small body.
Falcons have a high sense of vision, equivalent to twice that of human. On the other hand, hawk refers to a species of bird that belongs to the Accipitridae subfamily. The hawks are generally larger than the falcons, and they have long tails with curve and smooth beaks. The hawks use their feet to catch and kill prey, using the talons on their feet. Though the hawks have a larger body, they possess shorter wings, and they are slower in speed than the falcons.
Falcons are characterized by long wings and powerful beaks that are adapted to the way birds hunt for prey, by aggressively clawing and then tearing away at the flesh of the animal. Hawks utilize the talons on their feet to attack and kill prey. Falcons fly at very impressive speeds, and they quickly alter directions because their wings are tapered and thin.
The hawk refers to many different types of hawks. Falcons have a slight notch on their beaks, while hawks have a simple curve on their beaks. Hawks have longer tails. Falcons are generally smaller birds than hawks which are usually large but with shorter wings compared to falcons.
