Fraud and Theft are two English words that are closely related, but they are not totally the same. Both words are referring to the unlawful way of taking something that belongs to someone else without their consent. However, when you critically study the two words, you will notice some differences. Fraud simply means any act of deception perpetrated with the sole aim of gaining materials or resources that belong to someone else in an unlawful and unfair way. It also means to make up a false identity to deceive people.

Theft, on the other hand, simply means the act of stealing property. Fraud is a more organized way to gain the advantage of people in a clever way so that it will be very difficult to trace. Theft, on the other hand, is not as complex as a fraud. It is just a simple act of stealing, which can easily be detected by anybody. Both fraud and Theft are crimes that are punishable under the law.
