How is Hajj different from Umrah?

Non-Muslims may become confused with the differences between Umrah and Hajj. Some people may believe that these two are the same, but actually, there are not. Hajj is known to be one of the main pillars of Islam. This would take five days to complete, and not everyone will be able to participate in it depending on their strength. Umrah can be done in just a few hours and is not as time-consuming as the Hajj.

Umrah is usually done for Prophet Mohammed while the Hajj is performed for Prophet Ibrahim. This fact alone will already let you know that these two things are different and should not be interchanged with each other.
