It can be confusing for a lot of people to know the differences between agoraphobia and social phobia. Agoraphobia is often described as an intense fear of being in a place that is super crowded. This means that if the person is alone in a public place, it may cause a fear that will make people just want to get away from the crowd fast.

Social phobia is the intense fear of having to interact with people especially for people that they have never met. This is often related to panic disorder and social anxiety because it makes people have a hard time interacting with other people. For those who are suffering from agoraphobia, just being in a crowd can already cause intense fear.
