Lipids are a large group of molecules containing sterols, fats, waxes, and fat-soluble vitamins, that is vitamins A, D, E, and K. They include phospholipids, triglycerides, and some other things also. The major work they so in the body is ensuring the storage of energy as part of the cell membranes. On the other hand, carbohydrates are organic compounds which contain carbon, oxygen, and hydrogen, just as the name implies. While looking at the molecular structure, it is more accurate to refer to them as Ketones or polyhydroxy aldehydes.

Carbohydrates are divided into four groups: monosaccharides, polysaccharides, disaccharides, and oligosaccharides. Carbohydrates function as an essential part of the RNA and also function as storage for food. They play essential roles in preventing blood clots, fertilization, pathogenesis, and the immune system. Carbohydrates actually undergo metabolism, but lipids usually synthesize their storage. A good source of carbohydrate is from foods that are rich in starch, while lipids can be found majorly in oil.
