Can a boy and a girl ever be Friends?

The world is changing and template that defines the kind of friendship we keep is also changing. Gone are those days when the relationship between boys and girls was strongly discouraged. The reason for this might not be unconnected with the fact that friendship between a boy and a girl might lead to some undesired sexual activities and behaviors between them.

But the current world does not only encourage the relationship between boys and girls but also does not see anything bad in it. A boy and a girl can be friends but the type of friendship they want to enter must be clearly defined. Friendship is encouraged among boys and girls because this will make them to be familiar with the opposite sex, and it will also teach them to treat the opposite sex. There is a popular belief that girls don't form true relationship with themselves but they find it easy to form relationship with the opposite sex and the same is applicable to boys.

It is tough for a girl and a boy to be friends. This has been a problem for quite a long time. The reason for the problem or that boys can be friends with girls is that one of them usually ends up falling in love with the other one. Rarely, it seems that both of them fall in love with each other.

However, when one of them falls in love, or he or she wants to be more than friends, then they may try to date. If they end up breaking up, they will most likely not be friends again. If the boy or girl wants to remain friends and not date, then the other person will feel hurt or embarrassed. It is difficult for them to feel comfortable around each other from that point on.
