Cold Sore and Pimple are two conditions of the skin which must be taken care of with total seriousness. They might not look like severe health conditions, but they can inflict damage to your skin. However, let's go to their differences so that we can know which is which. Cold sore is a skin condition which is caused by the herpes simplex virus 1 and herpes simplex virus 2.

Pimple, on the other hand, is caused when there is blockage of pores in the skin. This often arises when the oil glands in the skin are being blocked by dirt. As a result, the oil glands are now blocking the skin pores, and this leads to pimples.

Pimple can be all over your face if you don't take good care of it. Cold sore can be formed and noticed as small bumps on the lips due to the viral infection, and it can also be formed in the nostril. Pimple, on the other hand, occurs mostly on the face; it can be formed anywhere on your face.
