Corrective action one of the qualities of proper management, as it involves taking some actions in rectifying errors that might be made or that is made already. Preventive measures are used in organizations or institutions to prevent or guide against any projective errors that might want to alter the set goals and plans. It involves taking some proactive measures. Corrective actions identify the root cause or causes of whatever problems and provide solutions for whatever consequence it might have backfired with.

Preventive actions are proactive measures that have been taken to avoid potential problems or errors that might want to occur. Corrective actions give an approach of identifying the causes of a problem, and they are reactive. But preventive actions commence with investigating, auditing, and analyzing of potential issues, and they are proactive. CAPA is the term given to Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions, as the two work hand in hand.
