What is the difference between Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality?

In augmented reality, the user connects with the real world, and they never lose touch with the real, physical world. Virtual reality is the computer-generated simulation world that presents the user with a fully immersed recreation of the environment. It emerges with the user inside a fictional world with no reference to the actual world. Virtual reality places it as the use of computer technology to immerse the user in a simulated environment.

Augmented reality does not go as far. Augmented reality enhances the virtual world by adding virtual reality through images and graphics. Augmented reality is more challenging to implement, as it layers virtual reality on top of the real world. The user never their connection with the real world during augmented reality.
