Flag Day is not a federal holiday in the United States of America but this does not stop people in celebrating it every June 14. However, a few states consider this day as a state holiday like in Pennsylvania. This is not considered as a federal holiday with the reason of it is sandwiched by Memorial Day and the 4th of July.

Some people also believe that all Americans should always know the significance of the flag, that they do not need a holiday to be reminded of the flag’s importance. Because it is their responsibility as a citizen of the U.S.A. to know the importance of freedom by the American flag being raised.
