Science and social science are two types of sciences. They both deal with studying patterns and phenomena about subjects. Between the two, science is a broader study. It combines many subjects, such as astronomy, biology, and chemistry. Social science is a type of science. It is much more specific, for it studies humans and society as a whole.

An example of social science is political science, which studies politics regarding how a person may take in political news or what makes them vote either Democratic or Republican. Other types of social sciences include economics, social studies, history, criminology, and sociology.

Science can be described as studying the physical and natural world, which is separated into three fields of study: pure science, natural science, and physical science. In all three areas, a scientific methodology is applied to bring new theories and laws. The level of empiricism is exceptionally high in natural sciences.

The use of the experimental method is common. In science, the accuracy of a theory is proven through this method. Social science, on the other hand, concentrates on the human being. It considers the individual and group behavior in different settings, including various disciplines such as economics, psychology, sociology, geography, history, and political science.

In social science, both qualitative and quantitative methods are utilized. The researcher employs both to improve the reliability of the data. With social science, it isn't easy to procure reliable and accurate data.
