MCL stands for Medial Collateral Ligament Injury while ACL stands for Anterior Cruciate Ligament. Between the two, ACL is considered to be the more serious type of injury. People usually know if they have an ACL because of a distinct popping sound that will not be heard when people have MCL injury. When people experience MCL injury, they may start to feel pain on the inner portion of the knee.

MCL stands for Medial Collateral Ligament Injury while ACL stands for Anterior Cruciate Ligament.
The knee would also start to swell and bruise. There will be some pain when the knee tries to be straightened. When people experience ACL, the pain is immediate, and the swelling will also occur immediately. Walking will become difficult because the knee will start to feel unstable.

The actual fact about bones in the body is that, they are joined together by materials like ligaments, cartilage and tissue to form joints in various parts of the body. ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) is the ligament is found in the front part of the kneel, this ligament connects the femur and tibia together, this joint is prone to injuries. MCL (Medial Collateral Ligament) is found in the inner part of the kneel.
