What is the difference between Lanthanides and Actinides?

Actinides are known to be radioactive elements. Lanthanides are known to be non-radioactive elements, but there are some exceptions. This is not the only difference between the two. Actinides are known to have the ability to form different complexes quickly while lanthanides will not have the ability to do this. Lanthanides tend to have a different chemistry from the other transition metals probably because the 4f orbitals are known to be protected from the other atom’s environment.

The actinides are also known to be more essential as compared to Lanthanides, which may tend to become more neutral. All actinides are known to be paramagnetic while lanthanides may be paramagnetic depending on the unpaired electrons that are available.
