Both Gnostic and Agnostic are related to the Greek word 'Gnosis', which literally means knowledge. Gnostic and Agnostic are words which are usually used in the religious circle. However, there are some differences between the two words. The seemingly differences between them will be discussed in relation to their meanings. Gnostic is used to refer to people who are in possession of a particular dimension of knowledge about God. People that are intellectuals when it comes to spiritual matters.

Agnostic, on the other hand, is the direct opposite of Gnostic. It is used to refer to people who do not possess any knowledge about spiritual things and the existence of God. Agnosticism is quite different from atheism, in that, while the former does not really know more about the existence of God, the latter does not believe anything about the existence of God. Whereas, a Gnostic person believes God exists, although he might not be able to prove it
