The polymer that contains nitrogen is Chitin. It is known as a long−strain polymer. It is considered to be one of the most important biopolymers that can be found in nature right now. The function is to form a scaffold for the cuticles of the epidermis and also the trachea. This can be found in most invertebrates which means that if you would check nematodes, mollusks, and fungi, you will probably find this.

There are some who would consume chitin and this can be effective in providing insoluble fiber that some may need. It can promote prebiotic properties because it will aid in improving the number of good bacteria found in the body.
