Flaxseed is a great source of fat like omega 3 fatty acid, fiber and antioxidants. The nutritional benefits of flaxseed generally are that, it is rich in fiber and omega 3 fatty acids. Ground flaxseed is always recommended over flaxseed meal because ground flaxseed can be easily digested when you eat it but flaxseed meal might pass through your digestive system undigested. There are a lot of nutritional benefits you stand to get from ground flaxseed than flaxseed meal. Those nutritional benefits are; improvement in digestive system and also get rid of constipation and it also helps in lowering the cholesterol level in the blood.
